Founded by Texas attorney, Josh Henderson, in 2016, Ellison Helmsman was formed to help individuals and organizations accelerate their growth. Based on his experiences as an attorney, Josh realized that many of the legal problems that clients brought to him could have been avoided. To that end, he started independently researching the common sources of legal problems and innovating preemptive measures to reduce the risk of those legal problems occuring. Now, the services provided by Ellison Helmsman are based on The Ellison Helmsman Method for Strategic Growth (“The Method”). The Method has been developed with over 22 years of research and application in the fields of human behavior, habit change, and organizational change management.

Service Assessment
Our first step is to conduct a brief assessment of the potential client’s fit to our process to determine likelihood of positive experience and measurable outcomes. Strategic growth can be a challenging process and not every person or business is prepared to take on the challenge.
Comprehensive Discovery
Our initial process with clients is a comprehensive discovery process to develop thorough understanding of their unique circumstances and vision. During this process we look for uncapitalized upon areas of opportunity for growth as well as challenges currently being experiences or challenges likely to be experienced in the future.
Customization
The next phase of our process is to provide recommendations for implementation of a strategic growth plan that that is specifically tailored to the individual client providing a customized solution to address the areas of opportunity and the challenges identified. Our plans are crafted to allow immediate implementation and ordered so as to facilitate rapid results that compound to create observable exponential growth in shorter periods of time than traditional change management practices. This is in a large part enabled by the deeper understanding of practical human behavior that exists within our method for strategic growth.
Implementation
The active phase of our process involves partnering with clients to provide oversight and advisement during the implementation process to ensure that recommendations are deployed quickly, effectively, and efficently. Use of our team further accelerates the change management process and leads to greater long-term retention of the change deployed.
Continuous Improvement
Because growth is intrinsically cyclical, we provide our clients the opportunity to partner with Ellison Helmsman as a long-term external partner continuously monitoring the growth process and providing modified responsive change management planning as new opportunities and challenges arise.
